On May 16, 2024, the Engineering Machinery Industry Science and Technology Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Technology Festival), jointly hosted by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association and the High-end Equipment Research Institute of Zhejiang University, was grandly opened in Hangzhou. Themed "High-end, Intelligent, Green", the inaugural Technology Festival provided a platform for the engineering machinery industry to showcase the latest scientific research achievements, exchange cutting-edge technologies, and discuss industry development trends, under the framework of "industry, academia, research, and application".

With the momentum of the Technology Festival, the Road Construction Machinery Branch of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association successfully organized a Road Construction Machinery Technology Salon (hereinafter referred to as the Salon) during the festival.

Themed "High Technology Promotes High-Quality Development", this Salon focused on the current development level and market situation of road construction machinery industry, discussing topics such as "Understanding the Role of Technology in Promoting the Development of New Productivity", "Reviewing the Development History of Road Construction Machinery Technology", "Current Development Level of Road Construction Machinery Technology", and "Prospects for the Future Development Direction of Road Construction Machinery Technology".

The Salon explored the market demand, potential technologies, development of high-end products, adaptive product development, and the industry's development direction in China's road construction machinery sector.

The Salon event was jointly organized by the Road Construction Machinery Branch of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association and Zhejiang Jiaogong Group Maintenance Engineering Company, with Zhejiang Metong Road Construction Machinery Co., Ltd.

Scholars and experts from institutions such as Chang'an University, Chongqing Jiaotong University, the Highway Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, the National Engineering Research Center for Highway Maintenance Equipment (Chang'an University), Xi'an Road Construction Machinery Testing Center, Zhejiang Jiaogong Group, Shandong Expressway Maintenance Group, Metong Machinery, Metong Heavy Machinery, Zhejiang Zhuma construction machinery, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd., Fulongma, Shandong Dongyue, Shanxi Sanshi, and others participated in the Salon.

The atmosphere at the Salon was lively and enthusiastic, with exchanges, discussions, and debates enhancing the understanding of each other's perspectives. Participants explored the development trends and directions of road construction machinery from various dimensions such as standards, products, and markets, with a particular focus on the significant role of technology in industry development.
